Hi! My name is Melissa Rosson, and I'm currently a junior studying Communication/Film at Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL.
I basically started this blog as another type of creative outlet for me. I love art. Whether it's story-writing, filmmaking, drawing, graphic design, music -- I love it all. So here's just another way for me to express myself and get some random thoughts and things I've learned in life out there.
Why "Cross My Heart"? I just really liked the name. It's an expression often used, but the two words "cross" and "heart" really stood out to me. When I think of The Cross, I think of Jesus Christ and everything he did for me and everything God is continually doing in my life. He has penetrated and captured my Heart, and I want my life to be a love song to Him. So this is me, pouring out my Heart and expressing myself through all the talents and skills God has given me and the experiences He's taken me through. My whole life points back to The Cross, where God showed us what the epitome of love is (1 John 3:16, 4:10).
